I've been covering rock and pop music in NEPA for about 15 years, so I
obviously love music. Ever since I saw The Who in concert, back in '82 when
I was only 15, I have been moved and inspired by the power of rock 'n' roll.
My first memories of music go back much further, to when I was about five,
and I would sit and listen to Elvis Presley albums with my grandfather. Even
then, I was hooked. My other great interests are the New York Yankees and
Dallas Cowboys. It's more than being "a fan" with me, it's an admitted
obsession. The entire month of October usually revolves around the Yankees
in my life, and I would rather have major dental work than miss one inning
of a playoff game. I am even a bigger fan, however, of my daughter, Mary
Ann. She turns one in February, and she is already, by far, the coolest
person I have ever known.
