Stephanie DeBalko first joined the Weekender staff in 2006 as an intern from Wilkes University. She has made many stumbling efforts to find her passion, including stints as a fashion and beauty intern at Bridal Guide Magazine and as a freelance cupcake baker, but she ultimately found her way back to the written word by picking up a correspondent’s position with the paper in 2009, writing feature stories and book reviews. She joined the team full-time in May 2011 as staff writer. She enjoys writing, reading, live music and shouting, “That’s what she said” at every available moment.
